View From Beaubear's Island was painted on location...around the beginning of September from the area of the tipping tree (Anyone who knows the Island knows where this tree is located on the eastern side of the Island..we all keep waiting for it to end up in the river after a storm...It's been hanging by a thread for years! The painting looks toward Nelson

A good week with 2 new paintings done en plein air (on location)
The first, Field of Dreams, paintined on location at the Gordon's Wharf area on the banks of the Miramichi River where it begins to open up to the Bay..always a favorite scene as I drive down river
The second, Across The Bartibog, was done the first day of a Paint Out at the MacDonald Farm in Bartibog NB. (Celebrating the Scotts) (Saturday - August 21)..I got rained on...actually soaked..had to stop for a bit until it let up and then continued on and was quite happy with the results. I hope to get one or 2 more painted tomorrow (August 23rd) ..so stay tuned
I also made a little trip to Bouctouche NB on Wednesday and did some sketching there...if you follow me on Face Book you'll get to see them in a few days time
