The Irish Festival Paint-Out and Auction at the Rodd was a great time. I did 2 watercolors on Day 1 and an oil on Day 2....selling one Watercolor and the oil at the Auction.

Last week I spent 5 days doing 5 X 7 inch watercolors....I called the series Inside Out since I was inside the house at one of my windows...looking out... painting what I saw that day.

View From Beaubear's Island was painted on location...around the beginning of September from the area of the tipping tree (Anyone who knows the Island knows where this tree is located on the eastern side of the Island..we all keep waiting for it to end up in the river after a storm...It's been hanging by a thread for years! Day 2 of the Paint Out at MacDonald Farm was a great sunny warm day ...lots of people milling about the farm and listening to the bagpipes and a fine scotish band. 3 of us from the Miramichi Art Core painted on site. The result of the day for me was *View Toward Loggiville* an 8 X 8 inch, oil on masonite panel. I sat in the shade of some trees for this one...Read Full Post »
